    The Police In Enugu State, On Wednesday, confirmed the killing of a young man in the state by security operatives. The Man, Identified As Smith Odinaka, was shot dead on Sunday, 13 October, around 1 a.m. along the Enugu-Port Harcourt Expressway, Enugu. Several social media users, who posted the photo of Mr Odinaka’s corpse on the microblogging platform, accused the police in Enugu of killing him.

    Operatives of the Lagos State Police Command have apprehended a seven-man car-snatching syndicate operating between Lagos and Kwara States. The suspects were paraded on Tuesday at the State Police Command Headquarters, Ikeja, Lagos. Two out of the paraded gang members consist of dismissed soldiers who were booted out of the military in 2014 and 2017 respectively. One of the paraded suspects is a mechanic, one a driver while the last one is the receiver of the stolen cars.

    No fewer than 119 inmates of the Medium Security Custodial Centre located in Suleja, Niger state, have escaped after hours of heavy downpour which destroyed parts of the facility on Wednesday night. Spokesman of the FCT Command of the Nigeria Correctional Service (NCoS), Adamu Duza disclosed this in a statement on Thursday, April 25.
