Opportunity For All, a program offered by the Caldwell County Public Library in Lenoir, continues to make big impacts on its patrons since its recreation in August 2022. Lorena Lucas, an adult services library assistant, rejuvenated the program in order to provide fun, educational activities and social gatherings for adult patrons with learning, cognitive, developmental or physical disabilities or delays.

News Lenoir council names section of Greenway in honor of Rick Rash LENOIR — Lenoir City Council named a section of the Lenoir Greenway as “Rick Rash Trail” on Tuesday night. The trail honors former city employee and long-time recreation advocate Rick Rash, who passed away earlier this year. Rash worked for the Lenoir Parks and Recreation Department for 36 years from 1967 to 1970 and 1972 to 2004.

Aug. 18—LENOIR — The former Mt. Piligrim Baptist Church youth choir will reunite for a performance at the church Saturday, Sept. 16, at 5 p.m.The youth choir first began in 1980 and continued to perform every fourth Sunday at the church until 1995. Victoria Cole was the director of the youth choir during that time. "The church would be packed out with folks wanting to hear the young people sing," she said.

LENOIR – Wongalee Thomas has chronicled her journey to find her long-lost father in a new book, “Separated by Oceans but Connected by Love: The Search for my Father, Humphrey Tja-A-Lien.”Wongalee's parents were dancers at the Savoy Club in New York City when they fell in love and married. Her family moved to Lenoir a year later, and Wongalee has lived here ever since.
