Cloture is invoked on Billy Long's nomination - sets up a final vote

Invoked, 53-46: Motion to invoke cloture on Executive Calendar #173 William Long to be Commissioner of Internal Revenue for the remainder of the term expiring November 12, 2027.

As Treasury Secretary Bessent testifies in front of the W&M committee on one side of the Capitol, the Senate is holding a procedural vote on Trump's IRS Commissioner nominee Billy Long on the other. If cloture is invoked, final vote could come as soon as today.
