Georgetown School of Medicine (SOM) students Ryan Braun (M‘26), Evan Czulada (M‘25), Stefan Prvulovic (M‘27), Holly Shan (M’25) and Mana Sheykhsoltan (M‘25) were awarded a scholarship prize of $3,000 at the tenth annual Georgetown Public Policy Challenge (PPC) finals hosted by the McCourt School of Public Policy on April 5, 2024. Among the 40 team applications submitted, five finalist teams advanced to the final round.

Before graduate school, Parsons spent three years working as the federal policy specialist for Youth Villages, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting children, youth and families in the child welfare, mental and behavioral health and juvenile justice systems. His previous experience also includes volunteering for the Democratic National Committee and state-based advocacy organizations.

Manning credits mentorship with most of his career successes, which is why he now serves as an adviser in any capacity he can. Manning is known throughout military and local communities and encourages others not to “self-eliminate.” He and his longtime mentor, Lt. Colonel Erika Salerno, coined the phrase to encourage young cadets to believe in themselves and seek out opportunities to apply their talents.
