Friday, the city of Albert Lea shared new images and descriptions about the status of the remodeling of the City Arena and Aquatic Center. The city broke ground on the upgrades to the city arena last week. Now, among the progress notes, we’re told the contractor has poured all the footings and foundation walls for the lobby addition.

    ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) – Rochester City Attorney Michael Spindler-Krage confirmed Wednesday there is no update to share yet in the case of a racial slur incident at a Rochester park. The incident was captured in a now-viral video showing a woman, who has identified herself as Shiloh Hendrix on a crowdfunding site, directing reported racial slurs toward a child she said stole something from her child’s diaper bag while at a city park.

    ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) – Postal workers are teaming up with the Salvation Army in Rochester to help those facing hunger this weekend. The annual “Stamp Out Hunger” event will take place nationwide Saturday in which people can leave out nonperishable groceries for their mail carriers to pick up. Locally, that food will go to the Salvation Army’s food shelf. The Salvation Army said it is still in need of volunteers for Saturday afternoon into the evening to sort and put away the donated food.

    ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC/Gray News) – A white Minnesota mother accused of using racial slurs against a 5-year-old Black boy at a playground has raised over $600,000 for herself on an online fundraiser. The woman, who identified herself as Shiloh Hendrix, has now increased her fundraising goal to $1 million on GiveSendGo, a Christian-based crowdfunding site. Hendrix was caught on camera hurling racial slurs at a 5-year-old boy in a now-viral video at a park in Rochester.
