It is based in Rochester, Minnesota, and serves the regions of Southeastern Minnesota and Northeastern Iowa. The station is owned by Gray Television, which is headquartered in Atlanta. Additionally, KTTC operates alongside the Fox affiliate KXLT-TV (channel 47), which is also licensed to Rochester, through a shared services agreement with SagamoreHill Broadcasting. Both stations have their studios located on Bandel Road Northwest in Rochester, right off US 52. They also have an advertising sales office situated on Lakeview Drive in Clear Lake, Iowa, which caters to the Mason City area. The transmitter for KTTC is positioned south of Ostrander, Minnesota, close to the line between Fillmore and Mower counties.

    ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) – Another year will soon tick by for two unsolved Rochester homicides, and Rochester Police are urging anyone with information to come forward. On April 17th, 2007, April J. Sorensen was killed in her home in northwest Rochester. A TV technician arrived at the house for a scheduled visit and saw smoke coming through a window. First responders on scene determined the fire was not an accident and found Sorensen brutally murdered in her bedroom.

    ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) – A preliminary investigation report shares more details into what led up to a Rochester plane crash in March. On the evening March 9, a small plane crashed near the Oak Summit Golf Course in the woods on private property. The pilot was the only passenger and sustained minor injuries. According to the preliminary report, the pilot reported during the initial climb, about 650 feet above the ground, the engine lost power.
