    CHARLESTON — One person was killed after shooting broke out on Johnson Street the night of April 27, several hours after gunfire erupted down the same roadway and injured a teenager during a weekend marred by violence in downtown Charleston. Charleston Police Department officers had been patrolling in the East Side neighborhood around 8:30 p.m. when they heard gunfire and rushed over to Johnson Street, said Sgt.     WANDO — A late-night traffic stop in the area led to a Berkeley county sheriff's deputy shooting and injuring one person April 22. Deputies had been conducting an investigation near Clements Ferry Road and Rivers Reach Drive when they made a traffic stop, according to a news release. During the traffic stop, shots were fired and one civilian was injured. The civilian was transported to an area hospital. No deputies were injured in the shooting, the release states.
