The Post and Courier serves as the primary daily newspaper in Charleston, South Carolina. Its roots go back to three earlier publications: the Charleston Courier, which started in 1803, the Charleston Daily News, established in 1865, and The Evening Post, launched in 1894. As a result of this lineage, it holds the title of the oldest daily newspaper in the South and is among the longest-running newspapers in the U.S. It is the leading newspaper of Evening Post Industries.
