CONCLUSION Pereira et al.15 identified three important requirements for successful implementation of PGx in Africa: creating an electronic health system, building of molecular biology skills, and standardization and sharing of data across Africa. Finally, these requirements need to be linked so that data become available to clinicians in a comprehensive format. Furthermore, the design of PGx testing panels including variation specific for African populations is crucial.
