Big Boi will soon cross off another Atlanta sports honor. The artist, known for being one of the two members of hip-hop duo OutKast, will drive the pace car ahead of the upcoming NASCAR Cup Series race at Atlanta Motor Speedway on Feb. 23. Big Boi threw out the ceremonial first pitch of a Braves game in August, when the team hosted an OutKast bobblehead giveaway. More recently, he performed during halftime of the Kansas City Chiefs divisional playoff game against the Houston Texans.

Augusta National Golf Course is in “spectacular condition” after Hurricane Helene heavily damaged the Augusta area in September. Chairman Fred Ridley spoke to reporters in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where the Latin America Amateur Championship is being played, and provided an update on the course ahead of the 2025 Masters Tournament, which will take place April 10-13.

Georgia's season comes to a close after a 23-10 loss to Notre Dame in the Sugar Bowl. The Bulldogs scored first on a 41-yard field goal in the second quarter, but once Notre Dame tied it up and then scored the first touchdown of the game - a 13-yard pass by Riley Leonard to Beaux Collins - with less than 30 seconds in the half, the Irish never relinquished the lead.
