Italian studio NM3 has used a selection of its steel furniture to create an interior that was "left raw" for art gallery Galleria Montegani in Milan, Italy. Known for its stainless-steel furniture, NM3's designs have previously been used in projects including design platform Alcova's first pop-up bar during this year's Milan design week, for which it created a DJ console. Stainless-steel tables and shelves were used in the industrial space.

Mallorca-based Sara Regal showcased seats made from building waste at fashion designer Cecilie Bahnsen's showroom for the two-day Residue: Soft Remains installation during 3 Days of Design. Regal's six modular seating designs were a continuation of her earlier work, which explores the future of waste materials in design.

At the Bread and Butter exhibition in Copenhagen, 12 emerging global designers showcased pairs of objects designed for dining during 3 Days of Design. The designers, who came from Denmark as well as South Korea, Sweden and the Netherlands, were chosen by curators Hee Choi of Berlin-based studio Ae Office and designer Pyeori Jung.

British designer John Pawson has created Whitescale, a colour palette that features only white hues, including marble, milk and salt, that was showcased during 3 Days of Design. Copenhagen-based colour and surface collective Bleo, which worked with Pawson on the project, described Whitescale as "a meticulously calibrated gradient of whites", with colours based on vegetable and mineral colour references. The collection was informed by minerals.

Frida Escobedo is the first woman to design a wing at The Met. In this interview, the Mexican architect explains how she's bringing exclusive views of Central Park "back to the public". Escobedo is going through a busy time. As well as designing the new wing for The Metropolitan Museum of Art (The Met) in New York, she is currently working on the renovation of the Centre Pompidou cultural centre in Paris, with both projects set to complete in 2030.
