MNPD reports that 40-year-old Sharissa Perez resigned her position as a police sergeant in the School Safety Division (with disciplinary action pending) following an indictment by the Davidson County Grand Jury.

BAXTER, Tenn. (WSMV) - The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of an undocumented immigrant in connection with a drive-by shooting over the weekend. Deputies responded to Rock Springs Road to reports of gunshots in the area at about 1:20 p.m. on Sunday. The 911 caller reported hearing about five gunshots coming from a home located across the street from her home. The caller also said that the home was unoccupied as the previous resident had recently died.
