    STATEWIDE -- 250 years ago, Paul Revere led his famous midnight ride warning patriots of the presence of British soldiers before the onset of the Revolutionary War. Folks across the state are remembering Revere's bravery. On the night of April 18th, 1775, Revere rode through Massachusetts, a colony which, at the time, included Maine. On Friday, Mainers recognized the importance of Revere's contributions at the State House.

    BREWER -- Tax day is on Tuesday, and tax preparers at J.T. Hicks in Brewer say that they saw some unprecedented trends this year: a surprising rush of early filers and a number of taxpayers owing unexpected funds.     BANGOR -- There were two chimney-related fires in Bangor late Friday night. One fire occurred on Thornton Street, the other on Olive Street, with crews battling blazes into the early hours of Saturday morning. Bangor Assistant Fire Chief Casey Perry says the department sees an uptick in chimney fires this time of year, and stresses the importance of making sure your chimney is clean, inspected and safe while firewood stays dry.
