FOOTBALL bosses at clubland are set to be sought as part of the AFL's search for its key new role at HQ. The League's announcement on Thursday that it was splitting its football department structure clearly indicated to clubs that the new official will come from one of them. The 'Football Performance' boss will be responsible for the Match Review Office, umpiring, game analysis, player movement, laws of the game and innovation.
