FRANKFORT, Ky. (LEX 18) — The Kentucky Blood Center is expanding it's partnership with The Milk Bank by adding a seventh drop-off location for frozen breast milk, the center announced. According to the center's website, beginning on Thursday, the Frankfort Donor Center will accept donations of frozen breast milk from approved donors of The Milk Bank.

(LEX 18) — Governor Andy Beshear reported that he signed House Bill 15, which will allow Kentucky teens the ability to receive their learner's permit at the age of 15 instead of 16. A post from Beshear on Tuesday read, "I signed this bill knowing it will help working families better juggle all of life's activities." He also noted that Kentucky is one of the few states that requires teens to be 16 in order to receive a learner's permit.

(LEX 18) — On Thursday, the Fayette County Education Association released a statement in opposition to President Donald Trump's executive order to begin dismantling the Department of Education. WHITLEY COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — A judge rejected a change of venue request in the case of a murdered Whitley County toddler. Alexandra Ward faces charges of complicity to commit murder and complicity to strangulation in the 2023 death of her 3-year-old daughter Amoura Smallwood. Ward's trial is now set for March 25. LEX 18 previously reported that a judge sentenced Jordan Taylor to life in prison without the possibility of parole in Smallwood's murder.
