After a season to forget, Manchester United will be keen to start the 2025-26 campaign in far better fashion. They will kick off with a crunch home game against Arsenal in the pick of the opening-day fixtures. The Manchester derbies will take place at the Etihad Stadium on September 13 and at Old Trafford on January 17, with games against Liverpool October 18 (away) and May 2 (home). But fast forward to 2025 and Chelsea have just paid a £5million ($6.8m) penalty clause to United rather than continue to negotiate personal terms with Sancho to make a proposed £24m loan move permanent. A lot of money has changed hands for Sancho's services over the past five years.

I know it was more than 20 years ago. But it still feels weird looking at a top 10 transfer fee list and not seeing Zidane to Real Madrid.
