Paul Pogba is set to undergo a medical at Monaco on Friday ahead of a proposed move to the Ligue 1 club. The Athletic reported on June 13 that Monaco were interested in move for Pogba. The 32-year-old is a free agent having left Juventus by mutual consent in November 2024. Pogba had not played for the Italian side since the previous September, after he failed an anti-doping test.

Former Arsenal assistant Steve Bould is set to join Queens Park Rangers in a role focused on developing young defenders. The position would mark a first in English football for Bould, 62, since he was sacked as Arsenal’s Under-23 coach in May 2021, ending a 30-year association with the club. The former centre-back has been out of management since stepping down as head coach of Lommel SK, the second tier Belgian side owned by City Football Group, in January to return to the United Kingdom.

Arsenal have made a bid worth €11million (£9.3m) for Brentford midfielder Christian Norgaard. The north London club are exploring a deal for the the 31-year-old, while they await Brentford’s response to their offer. Arsenal have not reached an agreement with Thomas Partey, whose contract is up on June 30, and as it stands the Ghanaian will leave the club as a free agent next week.

Brentford are in advanced talks with UK-based South African businessman Gary Lubner and English filmmaker Matthew Vaughn about a minority investment in the Premier League club. Lubner is the former chief executive of Belron, the parent company of windscreen repair firm Autoglass, and founder of children’s charity This Day. The 66-year-old came to London to study in the mid-1980s and has become a major donor to the Labour Party, having given them almost £9million in recent years.

Newcastle United have seen a bid in the region of £45million for Anthony Elanga rejected by Nottingham Forest. The bid was tabled this morning but was rejected without a counter, with Forest having no intention of selling their winger. Newcastle are now considering whether to maintain their pursuit or walk away, with other targets also on their radar as they seek to add a winger to play on the right flank.
