My family and I have been going to various restaurants and to Wurstfest for years. Unfortunately, we frequently don’t enjoy the experience because of the high sound level in most restaurants. We went into Wursthalle to enjoy some food and German music, but were met with most deafening sound. Even outside near the Grosse Zelt the sound level was above what hearing professionals would recommend. It isn’t necessary to amplify music so much to be heard and enjoyable.

To the editor: Dear Bonnie Stuempfig (“Why the different treatment for Clinton, Trump in sex scandals?", May 11): Ex-President Trump’s trial is about falsifying business records by paying for Stormy Daniels’ silence regarding a sexual relationship. Regardless of sparing his wife’s feelings or keeping the affair from public knowledge prior to the 2016 election, he is charged with hiding the payments as business expenses. This action may have violated New York State laws.
