By Carl Goenner / Sports Director / @Carl_Goenner / St. Cloud, Minn. -On Thursday, April 10, the St. Cloud Tech Tiger boys volleyball team was defeated by the Elk River Elks. The Tigers failed to win a set and were swept 0-3. St. Cloud Tech started strong, getting out to an early three point lead in set one, but the Elk’s strong serving got the back in the game. Soon it was tied up at 8 and the Tigers couldn’t hold Elk River.

By Noah Grant / Sports Reporter / St. Cloud, Minn. -The St. Cloud State Huskies baseball team rolled to victory 19-7 over the University of Concordia-St. Paul in game one of a Wednesday doubleheader from Joe Faber Field. The Huskies were able to break things open late, scoring 11 times in the sixth inning for their fifth straight win. In the seven inning contest, it was the Golden Bears getting on the board first after a Noah Juliar RBI single just three batters in.

Halfway through game two, Senior infielder Maggie Fitzgerald was walked for the 91st time in her career setting the all-time walks record at St. Cloud State. The Huskies won both games by mercy rule with finals scores of 10-3 and 11-0.

The Beavers won the first game 8-4 while the Huskies came away with a 9-1 victory in game two. The only home run of the day came from St. Cloud’s Grace Frechette in game two. St. Cloud State’s Sydney Roe finished the day with 6 RBI’s, three in each game.

By Carl Goenner / Sports Director / St. Cloud, Minn. -The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) has recognized six members of the St. Cloud State men’s swim and dive team as All-Americans. The athletes are receiving the honors for their performances in the 2025 NCAA Division 2 Swimming and Diving Championships. Those recognized are fifth year Raf Hendricks, Junior Mason Beck, sophomore’s Lance Godard and Jimmy Nords, and Freshman Marcus Walker and Reid Tigges.
