AbstractConventional dendritic cells (cDC) play key roles in immune induction, but what drives their heterogeneity and functional specialization is still ill-defined. Here we show that cDC-specific deletion of the transcriptional repressor Bcl6 in mice alters the phenotype and transcriptome of cDC1 and cDC2, while their lineage identity is preserved.

In recent years, immunotherapy has transformed cancer treatment by harnessing the patient’s own immune system. However, cancer cells develop mechanisms to evade immune surveillance, compromising the body’s natural defences against cancer. The lack of immune control and immunotherapy failure can be attributed to both tumour intrinsic and extrinsic factors favouring the survival of tumour cells.
