NOW IN ITS 26TH YEAR, the annual PAVE Gala took place this past Dec. 12 in New York City at the IAC Building. Hosting an array of designers, retailers, visual merchandisers and other notable retail industry figures, the gala benefits and supports design students. As part of the evening, VMSD awarded its coveted glass apple in recognition of its 21st annual Visual Merchandising and Store Design Excellence Award to three New York stores that exemplify excellence in VM and overall interior design.

NOW CELEBRATING ITS 27th year, the 2024 Markopoulos Award (named in honor of the late Andrew Markopoulos of Dayton-Hudson Corp.) was presented to Andrew Bolton, OBE, Curator in Charge, The Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, during a celebration in New York City this past Jan. 14, 2025. Held at the Ralph Pucci Intl. showroom, the evening saw a record 200-plus guests in attendance to watch Mr. Bolton accept the annual award presented by VMSD magazine.
