Suppliers to Richard Caring’s hospitality businesses have been informed they will not receive the full amount owed to them for their goods and services as the company enforces a mandatory deduction to ensure its “businesses can remain strong”. The Caterer has seen a letter sent to suppliers of Bill’s, the Ivy Collection, Caprice Holdings Ltd and Birley Clubs - which includes Annabel’s and Harry’s Bar - informing them of the decision to deduct 2.5% from anything owed to them until further notice.

Fuller’s has reported a solid set of financial results for its full year ended 29 March 2025. Revenue for the pub group increased 4.8% to £376.3m, driven by “an excellent performance across the estate”. The business reported like-for-like sales growth across food (4.8%) and drink (5.3%), as well as accommodation (5.4%) from its 1,028 bedrooms. This resulted in an adjusted profit before tax increase of 32% to £27m.

Half a million more children in England will benefit from free schools meals from next year as the government expands the scheme. From September 2026 any child in England whose parents receive Universal Credit will be entitled to free school meals – currently households must earn less than £7,400 a year to qualify. The government said this would save parents £500 a year and will “lift 100,000 children across England completely out of poverty”.

Incipio Group has announced it will launch four drinking and dining sites at Olympia London. The exhibition and events centre in west London was originally built in the late 1800s and is currently undergoing a £1.3b redevelopment project, set to open in October 2025. Incipio’s four new outlets will occupy 40,000 square feet and represent nearly 50% of all F&B outlets across Olympia. The redeveloped Olympia is expected to attract around 10 million people annually.
