Gordon Ramsay’s production company is to launch a new documentary series following chefs from around the world as they try to win or maintain Michelin stars. Knife Edge: Chasing Michelin Stars will explore “the high-stakes world of international fine dining” over the course of a year-long Michelin Guide season. It will be hosted by Jesse Burgess, co-founder and presenter of social media sensation Topjaw, over eight episodes.

Jamie Oliver has opened a café and cookery school at John Lewis’ Oxford Street store as the retailer looks to boost its hospitality offering. The 4,600 sq ft space is spread across the third floor of the building and includes two cookery school classrooms and a 50-seat café run in partnership with Jamie Oliver Group. John Lewis said it had seen hospitality sales rise 6% over the last year and one in five transactions made in its stores was now in a café or restaurant.

A Parisian restaurant group known for its Latin American dining and bold interiors is set to cross the Channel to launch its first London restaurant next month. Tigermilk, which has ten restaurants in France and Belgium, will open at 127 Charing Cross Road on 12 June. Its concept is described as a “love letter to Latin America” that is “not authentic, not traditional, just full of life”.

Rare Restaurants is to close its final M Restaurant site in London after 10 years of trading. CityAM reports the original Threadneedle Street steak restaurant will shut its doors for good next week. It comes after M’s founder Martin Williams left Rare Restaurants in October and later joined Evolv Collection, the rebranded D&D London, as chief executive.
