    Star sightings are happening in Cape May. Academy-award nominee Timothee Chalamet portrays Bob Dylan in the forthcoming biopic "A Complete Unknown". Set in 1965, Cape May is a stand-in for Newport, Rhode Island and the historic Newport Folk Festival, where Dylan famously played electric guitar on stage, angering acoustic guitar purists. Tax incentives and a variety of settings made New Jersey attractive to filmmakers. Crews were also spotted in Jersey City, Hoboken and Newark.

    Over 60 student musicians from multiple schools across Philadelphia made their debut with Play on Philly in a professional concert hall with an Evening of Harmony, on Wednesday, May 8 at the Perelman Theater, Kimmel Center for Performing Arts. The Evening of Harmony is the gala event for Play on Philly, a nonprofit that provides high-quality music education to underserved students that might not otherwise have access.

    Tun Tavern, the birthplace of the Marines, will find new life in Philadelphia. It is one of the nation's most historic buildings that existed for nearly 100 years at the intersection of Water Street and Tun Alley between 1693 and 1781. A historical hub marked its place in history on Front Street, near Sansom Walk. Six organizations were founded there and still exist from that era, including the U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corps.

    The 7th annual Black Mama's Bail Out (BMBO) is underway in honor of Mother's Day. The Philadelphia Community Bail Fund leads this initiative to reunite families and prioritizes Black pregnant people, mothers, caregivers and transgender people who are incarcerated and cannot afford bail. For 2024, the goal is to raise $175,000 for this year's bail out and has already received a $75,000 grant from the National Bail Out.

    Veterans are the second most vulnerable population when it comes to fraud, only out-scammed by seniors. Jeanne Sorg, the Montgomery County Recorder of Deeds, did something about it. The Recorder of Deeds office, in partnership with the Pennsylvania Department of Banking and Securities, held it's first Veteran $cam Jam. Over 30 veterans and community leaders attended the free event in Norristown on Friday, April 19.
