    If you’re visiting an Indiana state park this summer, hold onto the paper map you get at the entrance. It may be the last one you ever see. The Indiana Department of Natural Resources (DNR) says this is the final season for printed park maps. Each year, the DNR spends over $110,000 on paper maps. That cost will now be used to help run the parks. Marty Benson, a DNR spokesperson said, “We think we’ll have enough paper maps for this summer.

Redemption Ranch K9, an Indiana nonprofit founded by Officer Rob Prichard, is celebrating one powerful year. The group rescues overlooked shelter dogs and trains them to become police K9s. Most law enforcement trained dogs can cost upwards of $25,000 according to Prichard. “Our goal is to never charge a police department for one of our dogs,” he said.
