BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — Remains found by a crew at a dig site in Bloomington March 26, have been identified as a man missing for three years. That identification was made public Monday by the Monroe County Coroner’s Office. John E. Baker, Jr., 40, had been missing since 2022. He was seen walking into the woods near Meadows Hospital. Despite a search for Baker, he was not found until the crew came up on his remains in March. It was determined Baker committed suicide in the woods.

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. — A baby that had been taken, police believe, by the non-custodial father, has been returned and the father arrested. The abduction of the six-month-old was first reported Saturday morning to the Plymouth Police Dept. Shortly after 3 a.m. a state trooper spotted the car that police were looking for on U.S. 20 and pulled it over. In the back of the car was a man with a baby.

EVANSVILLE, Ind.–A naked man walking through a public park was arrested by Evansville police. They say 65-year-old Craig Keeling was carrying his clothes in his hands when walking in the woods by the parking lot. A witness said Keeling was touching himself while motioning at them to join him Saturday afternoon. EPD says Keeling admitted to “partaking in a little voyeurism.”He was taken to the Vanderburgh County Jail.
