The Rockets dropped an 12-1 decision to St. Xavier on March 31 and fell by the same score to Frankfort on April 2. While the results weren’t what head coach Steve Kingsolver hoped for, the team continues to show signs of development with standout performances from key players.

SHELBYVILLE -- The Collins High School baseball team showcased a wide range of performances over a three-game stretch, recording a dominant shutout win, a narrow loss, and a gutsy comeback victory. The Titans now sit at 6-4 on the season, gaining momentum as the team continues to gel on the field and at the plate. The week began with a statement win on April 2, as Collins blanked Independence (WV) 14-0 in just four innings.

SHELBYVILLE -- The Collins softball team wrapped up a busy week on March 29 with a tough 15-5 loss to George Rogers Clark, snapping the Titans’ momentum after a pair of impressive wins earlier in the week. George Rogers Clark took early control, plating five runs in the bottom of the first inning and continuing to apply pressure throughout the contest. Collins starting pitcher Breanna Morris gave up 15 hits and 15 runs — nine of them earned — over 4.1 innings of work.

SHELBYVILLE -- The Collins Titans softball team displayed impressive offensive firepower during a three-game slate last week, earning consecutive victories over Whitefield Academy and Walton-Verona before coming up short against George Rogers Clark. On March 25, Collins rode the strength of its lower batting order to a 12-7 win over Whitefield Academy.

Despite some strong individual performances, including multiple home runs and a four-hit effort from junior Kendall Carnes, the Rockets were unable to come away with a win during the week. March 24: Late Rally Falls Short Against Bourbon CountyShelby County came up just short in a 4-3 loss to Bourbon County on March 24.
