    Nashville developer Michael Hayes, CEO of C.B. Ragland, has his sights set on a property of more than 500 acres near the Narrows of the Harpeth in Kingston Springs to build a resort inspired by Blackberry Farm in East Tennessee. Hayes – who made it clear that his team is "really early in our diligence process" – said the project they are thinking about developing will consist of 80 small, one bedroom cottages with 40 additional houses that are also part of the resort property.

    The lawsuit by Tennessee Riverkeeper – filed in the U.S. District Court in October 2024 – alleges that the Town of Kingston Springs has done nothing to limit unacceptable levels of toxic sewage being dumped into the Harpeth River, including E. coli and chlorine.  The town has a permit from the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation (TDEC) that allows it to discharge treated wastewater into the Harpeth River.

    Kingston Springs Elementary School (KSES) Principal Andrea Bledsoe was tapped to serve as the new behavior coordinator for the Cheatham County School District (CCSD), according to an April 8 announcement. Bledsoe has served as the lead at KSES since 2023, initially replacing long-time Principal Lucas Winstead. The district said it will begin the process to hire Bledsoe’s replacement at KSES for the 2025-2026 school year.
