    Monday's sunshine brought a chance for eastern Iowa to dry out a bit after the heavy rainfall on Easter Sunday. Many cities picked up well over an inch of rainfall. Cedar Rapids recorded a total of 2.34". An active and mild weather pattern is setting up for the rest of the week with chances for rainfall almost every day until the weekend.

    EASTERN IOWA (Iowa's News Now) — A mixed bag of weather is in store for the holiday weekend with cooler temperatures and widespread rain expected on Eastern Sunday. We will start with some clouds in the morning on Saturday but there will be more sunshine in the afternoon as high pressure builds in. Temperatures will be in the 50s and low 60s. Clouds will build back in Sunday morning as a low pressure system draws closer to the area. Temperatures will be even cooler in the low 50s.
