    KERMIT, Texas (KOSA) - A boil water notice has been issued for the city of Kermit on Sunday evening after there was pressure loss from mechanical failures. According to a Facebook post from Mayor David Holbrook, residents were experiencing low water pressure on the north side of town and the water department began investigating. In an updated post, Mayor Holbrook wrote that two of the three water supply pumps had to be restarted and tanks were refilling.

    ODESSA, Texas (KOSA) - Odessa Fire Rescue was called to a working fire at Forrest Brothers Tire at 5:13 P.M. on Sunday. According to the City of Odessa, when crews arrived they found tires, plastic, and cardboard on fire near the back of the yard. Crews are currently working to put out the fire.     GARDENDALE, Texas (KOSA) - UPDATE Tuesday, Aug. 6:The boil water notice has been rescinded for residents of Gardendale. The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required this notice back on Saturday after a water main break. The Greater Gardendale Water Corporation reports that the water no longer requires boiling prior to use. A boil water notice has been issued for Gardendale after a water line break this morning. The break is 18′' between County Road 54 and County Road 56.

    ECTOR COUNTY, Texas (KOSA) - The Texas Rangers are investigating after a man was found dead in an Ector County jail cell Sunday morning. According to the Ector County Sheriff’s Office, Joe Daniel Miranda was arrested by the Odessa Police Department on Saturday for criminal trespassing, resisting arrest, public intoxication and failure to identify. Miranda was booked and later found unresponsive on Sunday.
