    Local chanteuse Celine Byrne was the star turn at a benefit concert in aid of McAuley Place which was held in Lawlor’s of Naas recently (30 January). McAuley Place is a not-for-profit housing association in the former Convent of Mercy in Naas that caters to elderly residents, and this concert was in aid of what is known as the Beaufort development, which will see up to 43 more apartments added to the complex after the purchase of adjacent lands in November 2023.

    McAuley Place, a not-for-profit housing association in Naas town, is hosting a Benefit Concert in aid of a new development of 45 units, which will take place in Lawlor's Hotel, Naas, on Thursday, January 30 at 8pm. This event aims to raise funds for a much-needed expansion of McAuley Place. Today, there are 53 apartments which are currently full, with a substantial waiting list. Together with Kildare County Council and the support of the wider community this facility is striving to grow.
