Richmond Council has confirmed that a number of parking spaces around the Twickenham Riverside Regeneration site will be permanently removed, as major construction works are set to begin next month. From Sunday, 9 June 2025, residents who usually park on The Embankment, Water Lane or Wharf Lane will need to find alternative spaces, with all three roads closing temporarily from Monday, 10 June as work on the regeneration scheme begins.

British Transport Police confirm a person died following an incident on the railway line at Barnes station yesterday (Wednesday, 28 May). Emergency services were called to the scene at around 10.30am after reports of a casualty on the tracks. Despite the efforts of paramedics, the individual was pronounced dead at the scene. British Transport Police have confirmed the incident is not being treated as suspicious. The incident caused major disruption across the local rail network.

A Richmond based charity has revealed design images of its new centre in Hounslow opening this summer. Skylarks charity says it is "excited" to share sneak peak images of its latest space for families of children with disabilities or additional needs in west London. Managing Director of Skylarks, Aaron Guiver, said: "Skylarks is working hard to extend our services to more families by opening our Hounslow site in summer 2025.

A planning application has been submitted to demolish a three-bedroom house and garage in Broad Lane, Hampton, to make way for a new five-bedroom home—despite three previous refusals on the site. The applicant, Irina Hirtian, has had three earlier proposals rejected by Richmond Council—on 2 February 2024, 12 August 2024, and most recently for a similar plan involving the demolition of the existing home and garage to make way for a six-bedroom dwelling.
