Tracking Friday afternoon strong to severe storms TODAY: Thursday brings a wet start to a dry day. We'll have scattered showers and thunderstorms from 5-9 a.m. We will be dry by noon, with increasing sunshine through the rest of the day. The atmosphere will be quite stable by the evening, so storm development is unlikely. If we do see storms develop, though, they would likely become severe. High temperatures push to nearly 80 degrees this afternoon. South winds will help with this.
