AbstractAchieving a synergy of biocompatibility and extreme environmental adaptability with excellent mechanical property remains challenging in the development of synthetic materials. Herein, a “bottom-up” solution-interface-induced self-assembly strategy is adopted to develop a compressible, anti-fatigue, extreme environment adaptable, biocompatible, and recyclable organohydrogel composed of chitosan-lignosulfonate-gelatin by constructing noncovalent bonded conjoined network.

The increasing global use of fossil fuels as energy sources is associated with greenhouse gas emissions, air pollution, and detrimental climate effects. As a result, there is a growing interest in renewable low-carbon energy, and in particular from accessible agricultural residues [1]. Various thermochemical conversion technologies, such as combustion, gasification, and pyrolysis, have been investigated to extract energy from biomass and transform it into valuable chemicals [2].
