With updates having already been rolled-out on the XC60 and XC90, Volvo has taken the wraps off of the refreshed S90 as part of its renewed focus on combustion engines. Supposed to have been replaced the all-electric ES90 that premiered last month, the first update to the now nine-year old S90 since the initial in 2020 comes after the Chinese-owned Swedish brand announced in February that it had opted for a dual powertrain future comprising hybrid and full electric propulsion.

Having undergone numerous line-up reshuffles last year, Omoda has introduced yet more updates to the ever popular C5 range in the form of what it now calls the X Series. The replacement for the standard Lux and Elegance models, with a lowered price tag included, the X Series’ revised exterior touches consist of black alloy wheels, a redesigned matrix grille and headlights, a new front bumper and the same LED daytime running light motif as the flagship C9.

The passengers on board quickly evacuated the vehicle, with a few sustaining minor injuries. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
