AbstractThe use of herbaria for science and conservation is enabling greatly enhanced scopes and scales of discovery, exploration and protection of biodiversity. The availability of digital, open-access herbarium data is, perhaps counter-intuitively, expanding the use of physical collections by researchers who use digital collections to find specimens and then sample physical collections for multiomics investigations, including genomics, transcriptomics, metabolomics, proteomics and microbiomics.

High School Career Day. Of all the speakers that came to class that day, one guy stood out. His day started with schmoozing clients in the morning. Taking a long, liquid lunch. Followed by sitting in on a commercial shoot in the afternoon. Is this a living? For those of us with a television-infused worldview, we could hardly believe what we were hearing. What was he doing that sounded so cool? He worked for something called An Advertising Agency.
