    ‘Philanthropy has failed to effectively address the Israel/Palestine conflict’. That’s the resounding message from readers who completed this year’s Alliance questionnaire. Contrast that with Northern Ireland where philanthropy is widely perceived to have played an instrumental role in paving the way to ending armed violence. Yet, 83 percent of respondents concluded that when it comes to Israel and Palestine, philanthropy has failed.
