Nationwide's branch on High Street will be temporarily closing this week as the bank aims to make the Worcester site "even better". The store will officially close this Friday (June 6) for just over a week.

Three people were arrested after the victim was found on Rainbow Hill. (Image: Submitted) A CYCLIST has been left with critical injuries after a suspected crash on a busy city road. Three people were arrested after the victim was found with a head injury on Rainbow Hill at 10.30pm last night (Sunday). A woman aged 47 and two men aged 43 and 44 were arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm. All three remain in police custody.

Members of Worcester Palestine Solidarity Group were holding banners and flags outside Tesco Express in Foregate Street and High Street. The group were calling for shoppers to boycott Israeli goods as part of Don't Buy Apartheid Day. Sam Iqbal, a Worcester resident who is part of the campaign, said: "We were out to encourage people to buy an apartheid-free alternative.
