Research from the Institute for Fiscal Studies (IFS), funded by the Nuffield Foundation, found Sure Start improved educational and health outcomes, reduced school absences and had a positive impact on children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

Training provider Realise has launched an app-based support hub for nursery managers to help address poor mental health and wellbeing amongst the early years workforce. The RealiseEY app can be accessed by managers of a single site or whose setting is part of a small nursery group of around five settings or fewer, regardless of whether they utilise Realise for their current training provision.
