TULSA, O.K.- Kyle Larson hasn’t made a proper attempt at the Chili Bowl since 2022 and with that, neither has Paul Silva. Larson made a last-ditch effort to make the race back in 2024, but that effort was made with Keith Kunz Motorsports, the place that helped Larson get his start in the NASCAR world. The Silva-Larson duo is well regarded in the dirt racing world, with the anomaly of the sport’s most intriguing mind turning the wrenches and one of the best behind the wheel.

For Corey Day, Wednesday night (Jan. 16) ultimately wasn’t his day. Between an ill-handling racecar and treacherous track conditions, the 18-year old Hendrick Motorsports prospect was forced to settle for third in the Wednesday nightcap.

For the second night in the row, the Tulsa, Ok. fans were treated to an absolute banger of a feature at the Chili Bowl Nationals. But there was a difference on Tuesday night (Jan. 14). This time around, it was an underdog that stole a victory away from the top teams. With a seventh-to-first performance in the A-main, Landon Brooks secured his first Midget win at Tulsa Expo Raceway. With the win, Brooks officially guaranteed his first start in Saturday’s A-main.

Talk about starting off with a bang. The grand opening to the 39th annual Chili Bowl Nationals in Tulsa, Ok., Monday night’s (Jan. 13) prelim feature was a thriller from start to finish, kicking off the annual dirt midget showcase with another classic battle. After an action-packed evening, the nightcap came down to a fight between Kyle Larson, Shane Golobic and Cannon McIntosh.
