1 Introduction Oxygen evolution reaction (OER) is essential in renewable energy conversion systems, such as electrochemical water splitting, CO2/N2 reduction, reversible fuel cells, and rechargeable metal-air batteries.[1-6] However, OER is a kinetically sluggish reaction involving four-electron transfers, resulting in high overpotential with significant energy inputs; thus, OER is a major bottleneck to improving the efficiency of these renewable energy systems.[6-9] OER's slow reaction...

Dry reforming of methane (DRM, Eq. (1)) is a promising process for simultaneously converting the major greenhouse gases, CO2 and CH4, into syngas, a mixture of H2 and CO. In the DRM reaction, the syngas is produced with an H2/CO ratio close to 1 under stoichiometric conditions. It is particularly well suited for the oxo-synthesis process, methanol and dimethyl ether (DME) production [1], [2]. Although DRM is in the early stages of commercial usage, pilot-scale applications are operational.
