David Yin has stepped down as CEO of Adelaide-based game studio Mighty Kingdom, just eight months after taking the helm. His departure marks the third full-time CEO exit in two years, continuing a pattern of instability that has plagued the company since its IPO in 2021. Yin, a former Google Play executive, was appointed in March 2024 to steer Mighty Kingdom through its latest financial and governance crises.

I’ve always described the moment my Dad won full custody of my sister and I as my “sliding doors moment” because it’s the moment we got to walk through a door that’d change our lives for the better, forever.

Australian property developer Tim Gurner made waves last year when he suggested raising unemployment to 40–50 percent in order to drive the economy. In 1980, the autism spectrum disorder diagnosis was added to the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, ushering in a significant change in how we recognize the idea of ‘being’. With many still basing their understanding of autism on stereotypes such as those represented in films like Rain Man, the acknowledgement of the disability as a glorious, technicolor spectrum with an increasingly large array of traits and behaviors was, and still is, welcome.

In 2024 I wrote a LinkedIn post that went viral. Incrediblyviral. My company had just decided we would cover the full cost of an Autism and/or ADHD assessment for our employees. I shared a quick post about the policy to my personal LinkedIn page and it blew up. And that’s when it finally clicked. Actually, this is a big deal. Because it was at that moment that I realised that nobody else has a policy like this.

In 2023, the rate of job motility – the frequency at which individuals change jobs – reached its highest level since 2012. The substantial price tag to rehiring a role (around $23,000) should be enough of a catalyst for digital marketing professionals to rethink their approach to attracting and retaining talent. This story discusses depressive symptoms and suicidal ideation. One of my earliest memories is as a five-year-old sitting on the couch, baby brother in the crook of one arm and baby sister in the other. Even as a little one myself I remember thinking, "I cannot wait to be a mum."So when I got pregnant at 27, just about nine months after my wedding, my husband and I were elated. We’d always wanted to be young parents. We were ready. My first pregnancy was rough.
