    Southern Lyon County lost both games of its doubleheader Tuesday against West Franklin High School, 9-4 and 10-8. SLC dropped to 7-5. Adriana Weeden took the loss from the circle in game one, throwing six innings and logging five strikeouts. Kayla Steinke and Weeden combined for the loss in game two. For the doubleheader, Weeden and Steinke tallied four hits apiece, along with Jaden Nuessen.

    Area high school baseball teams crushed it Thursday evening, going a combined 6-0. The Lebo-Waverly Wolfdogs continued their early season dominance (7-1), logging 35 total runs against Wabaunsee, prevailing in both games of their doubleheader, 20-4, and 15-12. In game one, a 10-run third inning sealed the deal for the Wolfdogs who amassed 11 hits overall. Drew Konrade jacked two out of the yard and doubled, racking up five RBIs and going 3-3.
