The city of Clinton now can complete a $1 million land sale in its rail park to a local freight handler planning to expand. The Clinton County Board of Supervisors April 7 voted 3-0 to allow a partial release from a judgment against the city regarding the Lincolnway Railport. The release allows Super 8 Logistics, LLC to close on its more than $1.01 million purchase of 34.9 acres near where the new Atlas Roofing manufacturing plant is being constructed.

The Clinton County Board of Supervisors gave its support on Monday to the city of Calamus annexing farmland on the east side of town. "I certainly want to congratulate Calamus," said Supervisor Dan Srp before a 3-0 vote in favor of the annexation. "I know Mayor Goettsch and the city of Calamus have been working on a lot of strategizing for growth and the future of the community.

It also began a discussion about being more actively involved in reviewing invoices and claims.
