My theory of the letter was that it was sent with the explicit intention to force Harvard to fight it because it was so extreme. But I always thought that there was a chance it was simply sent in pure ignorance or an aptitude. That probability just went up.

Question to the verified: I initially paid the 10 bucks a month to have a verified account. I let my subscription expire after a year to see if there was any difference. Other than shorter posts, I’m not sure what the downside is. Does the algorithm penalize?
