    Auburn will celebrate Mardi Gras on March 1 with a parade, food trucks, and family-friendly activities.     Southern Kentucky Amateur Transmitting Society has been selected as 2024 Litter Abatement Group of the Year. SKATS served the Lewisburg community by picking up litter on KY 106 Quality Road on Oct. 25, 2024.     The Logan County Emergency Operations Center handled more than 52,000 calls in 2024, according to Ginger Lawrence, director of the center. The EOC received 52,196 calls throughout the year, Lawrence reported. Of those, the Logan County Sheriff’s Department responded to 16,311 incidents, the Adairville Police Department handled 3,124 calls, and the Auburn Police Department responded to 1,721 calls. The Logan County Ambulance Service received 5,114 calls, while Animal Control handled 418.
