The Dutch incumbent KPN has agreed to buy Kabeltex, a builder of fibre-optic networks and ISP on Texel and in the north of Holland, for an undisclosed fee. Kabeltex offers full coverage on Texel and is currently completing the rollout of fibre-optic in Den Helder, Hollands Kroon and Schagen. All told, it covers around 18,000 households.

Violeta Luca has been appointed the CEO of Vodafone Czech, effective January 2024. She has over 20 years of experience in leading positions in sales, marketing and strategy in various companies and was most recently CEO of Microsoft Czech Republic and Slovakia. Prior to this she was CEO of Microsoft Romania. Commenting on her appointment, Luca said: “I am honoured to have been appointed CEO of Vodafone in the Czech Republic.

The alternative investment firm Stonepeak has completed the acquisition of a 49% interest in Cellnex Sweden and Cellnex Denmark (“Cellnex Nordics”) for a total value of around €730 million, of which €558 million is recognised upfront. Cellnex Nordics provides colocation services to mobile network operators for their wireless networking equipment.
