SAGINAW, Mich. (WNEM) - Though the weather has been pleasant, it has come with wildfire smoke. Hazy skies have only dimmed the sunshine slightly as our warmest day of the year brought highs into the middle and upper 80s. Next, we are tracking a cold front and rain chances for the middle of the week with the hope of meaningful rainfall for areas that are either still in drought stage, or at the very least are under burn bans from the Michigan DNR.

SAGINAW, Mich. (WNEM) - Although we’ve had some spotty showers this afternoon, things will be drying out around Mid-Michigan as we head into tonight. We should see a quiet start to the day Friday with some sunshine, but we’ll have another round of showers and thunderstorms during the afternoon and evening. But once we get passed that round, we’ll be in good shape for the weekend.

SAGINAW, Mich. (WNEM) - Rain was expected to hold off for most through the morning, but it’s decided to take even longer with many dry as we start the evening commute. However, it won’t be much longer as we are starting to see rain move closer late this afternoon and evening, and although much later, it’s still on its way tonight.

SAGINAW, Mich. (WNEM) - It was a mostly pleasant weekend around Mid-Michigan and our Tuesday has been pretty nice in most areas, too!Temperatures climbed into the 70s for most inland areas this afternoon, though the easterly winds still brought some exceptions closer to Lake Huron and the Saginaw Bay. Despite being on the increase tonight, clouds are not expected to produce rain for quite awhile around the area, with an arrival time for most holding off until Wednesday afternoon.
