SAGINAW, Mich. (WNEM) - It’s been a beautiful day around Mid-Michigan as we finish up the week and get ready for the weekend!Sunshine has been plentiful and we’re seeing temperatures mostly back in the 60s today, though the 50s are still present farther to the east where we continue to see a northeasterly wind. As we head into the weekend, we expect to remain dry much of the time, with only a small chance of a shower as a weak cold front passes through on Saturday.

SAGINAW, Mich. (WNEM) - There are certain questions you get as a meteorologist all the time. How does the green screen work? Do you get nervous? Do you have a make up artist or hair stylist? SAGINAW, Mich. (WNEM) - It took some time to get rid of some cloud cover this morning, but we finally got there and we’ve had beautiful sunshine this afternoon. That sunshine hasn’t helped our temperatures much, with the northeasterly winds really bringing things down near the lakeshore and even penetrating farther inland compared to Wednesday. Thankfully, our temperature luck seems to turn around as we head toward the weekend and early next week, but we do have to get through a cold night first.

SAGINAW, Mich. (WNEM) - It’s been a mostly beautiful day around Mid-Michigan, with a few exceptions along the lakeshore as is typical this time of year. Clouds have been a bit stubborn to leave at times in the northern Thumb today, along with the chilly temperatures found near the shoreline in some of these areas too. We won’t improve temperature wise tomorrow, with many actually getting cooler, but if you enjoyed the bright skies, those seem to be sticking around for the foreseeable future.

SAGINAW, Mich. (WNEM) - We’ve seen rounds of showers going back into Sunday night, but there is finally some light at the end of the tunnel. While some are still seeing rain at this hour, we are moving in the right direction when it comes to drying out and we should see minimal chances for rain through the weekend if you’re hoping to get some things done outside without having to look over your shoulder.
