A man has been jailed for a minimum of 20 years after being convicted over the murder of his brother-in-law in Watford. Zaheer Abbas, 45, was sentenced after it was discovered he assisted and encouraged Husnein Amjad to kill Amjad Hussain in 2021. Husnein Amjad, 25, of Fuller Road in Watford, was previously sentenced in December 2023 having been found guilty of murdering his father in a separate trial.

Second arrest made over 'GBH attack' in Moon Under Water pub (Image: Newsquest) Police have arrested a second person after an "attack" in The Moon Under Water pub badly injured an 18-year-old woman. Today (April 7) the force confirmed a woman in her 20s has been arrested on suspicion of assault (grievous bodily harm). She has been released while enquiries continue. It follows a man in his 20s being arrested on suspicion of affray last week before also being bailed.
