Police said a large number of damaged graves are believed to be those of babies and young children – with officers “keeping an open mind as to the nature of this incident”.

The force issued a wanted man appeal yesterday evening (April 13) relating to Ben Smith, 30, of Lomond Road, Hemel Hempstead.

A man has been jailed for a minimum of 20 years after being convicted over the murder of his brother-in-law in Watford. Zaheer Abbas, 45, was sentenced after it was discovered he assisted and encouraged Husnein Amjad to kill Amjad Hussain in 2021. Husnein Amjad, 25, of Fuller Road in Watford, was previously sentenced in December 2023 having been found guilty of murdering his father in a separate trial.

Full Bushey Meads School Ofsted report (Image: Google Street View) Bushey Meads School's latest Ofsted report was published last week - with three of five areas deemed to require improvement. Inspectors noted there have been some "green shoots of improvement", but added "there is still, however, much more work to do to improve the school for the benefit of all pupils". Second arrest made over 'GBH attack' in Moon Under Water pub (Image: Newsquest) Police have arrested a second person after an "attack" in The Moon Under Water pub badly injured an 18-year-old woman. Today (April 7) the force confirmed a woman in her 20s has been arrested on suspicion of assault (grievous bodily harm). She has been released while enquiries continue. It follows a man in his 20s being arrested on suspicion of affray last week before also being bailed.
