The numbers of cruiser/keelboat competitors were up on 2023 - with 14 entries total and 7 Hawk 20s providing close class racing - the conditions were highly enjoyable too.

    New Quay Yacht Club Keel Boat Regatta by Chris Seal 30 Jul 12:02 BST After months of disastrous summer weather so far, at last West Wales was blessed with perfect sailing conditions on the idyllic waters of Cardigan Bay for the annual New Quay Yacht Club (NQYC) Keel Boat Regatta (KBR). This year, KBR 24 incorporated the Welsh Hawk 20 Nationals, Welsh Lift-Keel Cruisers and Welsh Bilge Keel Championships after a few years in the doldrums over Covid.

Numbers of competitors were up on 2022 - both for dinghies and cruisers - and the conditions were highly enjoyable. A feeder race from Fishguard on the Tuesday was won in light airs by Brainstorm (Chris Seal).
